From the South M6 to Carlisle, A7. At Canonbie turn right, signed to Newcastleton. Follow the B6357 for 10 miles arriving in the village.
From the North either via Hawick from the A7, or via Jedburgh on the A68. Douglas Square has free parking and is located in the middle of the village, you cannot miss it!
By Train
For access to Newcastleton by train, Carlisle (30 mins) is the most convenient in terms of connections and services, although Gretna is closer. There are regular services to Carlisle run by Virgin,Northern, and First Scotrail from Dumfries, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle Upon Tyne.
By Ferry
From Northern Ireland (Belfast) to Cairnryan or from Europe (Amsterdam) via Newcastle.
